The ideal relationship exists where the two become the same. You
like the people or things enough. Or helping them gives you lots
of personal benefits. Thus altruistic acts become selfish.

Also I think this is what a true community means. A society should
be a federation of these relationships. Any "community" that lacks
of this is fake.
