# When Protestantism Goes Bad I could add this to the America post. But since this might be more general protestant stuff, I write here. To be honest, my reaction to bad protestantism is instinctive. Rather than a logical analysis. But to write the words that pop up in my mind, ------------------------------------------------------------------ Evangelicalism, Fundamentalism, "Only Faith", Political, Removing tradition, Dismissing Virgin Mary, Dismissing saints, Iconoclasm, Individualism, Church as a business, Secular, &c. ------------------------------------------------------------------ Of course not everything is protestant exclusive. For example, there are many fundamental Spanish Catholics. And I don't think individualism itself is harmful. But you know what I mean. The whole picture. And the conclusion of these is the American capitalism and culture in general. Regardless of the political positions. In contrast, if protestantism goes well, it becomes like transcendentalism.
