# The Electromagnetic Force Is Not Modern

Every force is nothing but a combination of the following forces:

1. The gravitational force
2. The electromagnetic force
3. The strong nuclear force
4. The weak nuclear force

So almost every force you directly experience is the electromagnet
ic force.

1. The gravitational force is too weak. Hence you cannot experienc
e other than the gravity of the earth.

2,3. The nuclear forces cannot affect more than subatomic scale (t
hink of the name). So you cannot experience them. You might say ab
out radiation. But in fact it's electromagnetic. Only the cause is
the weak nuclear force.

Therefore the only thing left is the electromagnetic force. This r
esult might not be intuitive. But let's say you hit someone. That'
s fundamentally an electromagnetic force. Why you experience it is
that the particles are too close -- the electrons repel each other
. Well, to say exactly it's the electromagnetic field which repel
both of them, but you know what I mean.

As this example, the electromagnetic force is not a modern and dis
tant thing. Literally every force you experience beside the gravit
y of the earth is it.
