# Mikeneko's New Cover Is... Something ## Comparison Uruha Rushia's version (3 years ago): http://lbry.vern.i2p/@UruhaRushiaArchive:9/UBSx4qqeikY:b Mikeneko's version (new): http://lbry.vern.i2p/@Archives:9/20230926__hana_ni_bourei__mknk:2 She released a "Hana ni Bourei (Ghost in a Flower)" cover 5 days a go. And it's... something. For people who have no context, she was Uruha Rushia in Hololive. Before that, she was a normal (face revealing) streamer named Mike neko on Niconico and quite popular because of her pretty face. (I don't know, should I avoid to say this because she is a Vtuber? But everyone already knows anyway.) She is an actual menhera or a yandere and did her Vtuber job very well. Though people including me thought that she just plays her r ole. Her channel became the most superchatted channel on YouTube a nd the total revenue was about $3.3M. Then she got a scandal with Mafumafu (a famous utaite) in early 20 22. She went crazy and poorly managed things so that the event bec ame irreversible. She is a menhera so what do you expect? You can blame her and she is actually a terrible person... As a result, sh e got fired in late Feb 2022. Then she started her own channel as Mikeneko and got a Vtuber mode l. But in July 2022, she joined VShojo with Kson as Amemiya Nazuna while still doing Mikeneko seperately (not actively though). Havin g various dramas, she somewhat managed to do that. Then she (as Mikeneko) suddenly noticed in July 2023 that she join ed Voice Ore as Koito Ria and would do V-seiyuu jobs. She started to stream actively as Mikeneko too. Also at that time, she got a n ew model which exactly looks like Uruha Rushia. Then she has released this cover. This song was the most famous co ver of Uruha Rushia. It was a masterpiece actually. Unfortunately, Hololive deleted all of her videos on Uruha Rushia channel so that the cover has remained only on archives. In the new cover, you can definitely feel her retrospective emotio ns from her voice. And the sync with the lyric... you should check the lyric if you can't speak Japanese. It's nostalgic. But more than that. It's really Hakanai... like he rself. She has an atmosphere of true unstability and fragility. Th at makes people feel "I should support her, save her". It indirect ly shows the certainty of death and the vanity of life. And makes people seek the meaning of life. For the sounds only, I prefer Rushia's version a little bit more. Because it is much cleaner. But within the context, Mikeneko's ver sion is something. It's another masterpiece.
