This might be the precursor of Virgin Mary, The Mother Of God.
Theotokos. Isis worship was profound in the Hellenistic world.
It eventually became a major religion of the Roman Empire.

Does this make it pagan? Like some Protestants argue?

NO.

Pascha was also just a Jewish festival. But it became a totally
Christian event. Applausing the resurrection of Christ.

The original church was full of converts from other religions. At
first nobody was born as a Christian. So there were influences from
other religions.

That does not make Christ and the Apostles' church pagan.
