# Exercise As A Coping Mechanism Exercise is hard. So I realized that for positive effects like muscle or health, exercise usually does not continue. At least in my case. Then I suddenly realized that exercise as a coping mechanism would work. Because exercise is hard, if you think of it as a self-harm, it would probably work. INSTEAD OF CUTTING YOUR WRIST, YOU EXERCISE! When you want to escape from the reality, you exercise as a self-harm. Even if you get bored, you want to escape from the reality (boredom) so that you exercise. By exercising, you get better everytime and your stress actually goes down. I tried this idea and it actually worked! Maybe my inner masochist has waked up. Surprisingly now I really enjoy exercise. Whenever I get some stress, I exercise and suddenly my stress goes away because exercise is hard. How magical!
