# Do Not Use Others As Means

Today I saw someone saying "tfw no gf" and instantly found it wrong.
So I autistically thought about what exactly is wrong with it.

The answer was that he treats other people as means. And I realized
that this is not related to gf/bf stuff at all. By the same reason,
"tfw no friend" is equally wrong.


Looking for a partner itself is wrong. Think of dating apps. "Find
a partner and start a family" is not different. It's just a matter
of scale.

Only after you fall in love with someone, wishing you became the
romantic companion of the person and helped each other is acceptable.
"I want a partner and the person seems good" is using the person
as a means and degrading the dignity of the person. The person
should be a purpose. Not a means.


By the same reason, hiring a wageslave is usually wrong. It usually
treats a wageslave as a tool. But if an artisan hires unskilled
people while teaching them (hiring as a teaching process), I think
it's fine. Note that a worker cooperative doesn't have the problem
compared to a traditional company.
