# Citing Sources Is Overrated

Citing the original ideas is a good thing. But citing to make your
arguments stronger is totally wrong.

A sound logic speaks itself. If you use references to make your
arguments more believable, that's just an appeal to authority.

This is also partially why I don't like peer review, wikipedia,
&c.
