makes Briar so special is that IT CAN WORK WITHOUT INTERNET! You c
an use bluetooth or the same wifi network. Also, since it is P2P,
there is no server. You can communicate directly.

It also has a group chatting, forum, blog system. An interesting t
hing is that if A-B communicate via bluetooth and B-C communicate
via internet, then A-C can communicate via group chatting while th
ey can't communicate directly.

Finally, if you communicate via internet, it automatically connect
s to Tor. And you can use a bridge if you want, too.
