# Intro Hello, I'm thricegreat. I decided that name, because I like Hermeticism. I will post anything I want to post. I'm not going to use JS and CSS, because I hate them. Also I'm not going to use an image if that's not absolutely essential. If a webpage does not have an image, I will upload it as a *.txt file. For an image, I will use 16 colors 640x480 PNG. The color palette is the same with TempleOS. It's better-than-realism. I'm planning to build a home server to self-host this website and many other things. Maybe in 2024-2025. If you want RSS, use this and just download the whole website: https://neocities.org/site/thricegreat.rss # Personality INTJ 5w4 541 sp/sx ILI-Ni LEVF(?) My personality is not the totality of myself. But I don't deny that you can explain most of my actions using these results. # Astrology Aquarius Sun - Capricorn Moon - Libra Ascendent I really like the correspondence between alchemy and astrology. Like "Mercury" meaning both the element and the planet. As above, so below. It feels like algebraic geometry. # Current interests Hermeticism, Math, Philosophy, Simple Living, Neo-Luddism, Distributism. ## Hermeticism I'm more into philosophical Hermetica. Also I really like alchemy. I like its theory more than the practicality. * Human = God (soul & spirit) + Nature (body). '-' + '|' = '+' = '^' + 'v' + '<' + '>' '>|' -> ')O+' -> '>O+' -> 'O.' &c. ## Math I do math since it is eternal. I want to do things that will still matter in 50000 years. Math is one of them. However, I've decided to make the level of math on my site sufficiently low. "Sufficiently low" means that posts will not directly include graduate level stuff. This is a general blog for the general public after all. So you don't have to worry about that. ## Philosophy I think: * The world is mental at the base level. * Ethics and truth are transcendental (depending only on god) * Morals and knowledge are totally subjective. * Cultures, languages, &c. are objective (depending on humanity). * To get the truths of the world, anything goes. * Art = "Extracting form from substance" * Tech = "Applying form to matter to make a new substance" Therefore, Creation = "Art then Tech". * The purpose of art is 1. to turn the temporal into the eternal. 2. to SHOW the unspeakable part of the world objectively. 3. to idealize the world. 4. to defamiliarize. * The material world itself isn't evil. But caring only about it is. We should make arts with it. [...] I think this way is better than just listing some philosophers. ## Simple Living I like transcendentalists like Thoreau. But I don't like modern minimalists that much. Especially people who like apple products. ## Neo-Luddism > The Industrial Revolution and its consequences have been a disaster > for the human race. > > Theodore Kaczynski, "The Industrial Society and Its Future" I'm a power maximalist. I hate modern technology, since it restricts an individual's power. This is also essentially what Ted Kaczynski said. I often study Plant Systematics for this reason too. Primitive people could identify plants. Modern people cannot. This shows that ironically people have less power over nature than their ancestors. ## Distributism Distributism basically means WIDESPREAD PRIVATE ownership of means of production. It is more than that though and is from Catholic social teachings. But you don't have to be a Catholic for distributism. I'm not a Catholic too. You should OWN your means of production. Big governments and big businesses are both harmful because they monopolize most of the means of production. Because of that, they rent it or hire people to make people wageslaves or pesants. Instead, you should own some land and make your own infrastructure by yourself. For cooperation, cooperatives like Mondragon is good. To substitute banks, there are credit unions too. Those are member-owned so that if you work for them or use them as a member, you can vote for the elections and can get dividends as an owner. But if a cooperative becomes too big, it's basically nothing different from socialism. It becomes SHARING rather than OWNING.
